Zinc Dining Tables Care and Maintenance Leaflet
Zinc is a natural mineral that is antifungal and antibacterial. It is non-porous so all tarnish spots are on the surface level and can be removed by polishing or buffing. It is a reactive metal that will continue to age over time. Oils, acids and standing water will change the surface appearance. Over a period of time the spots and other patina marks will run together so that the top is a unique piece. Zinc will oxidise to a darker metallic colour. Areas of heavy use will be smoother and lighter in colour.
